The Gomoa District Police Commander, ASP Paul Ankan has cautioned that any man who impregnates a teenage girl in the area would be made to face the law.
He said teenage pregnancy in the area was on the rise, and that, if care was not taken, more than 50 per cent of the lives of the young girls in the district would become miserable in future.
ASP Ankan gave the warming at a community forum at Gomoa Dominase in the Central Region, on the theme: “Healthy Public and Police Relationship towards Development,” which was to strengthen the relationship between the police and community members, and also share ideas on the security situation in the area.
He said it was about time the unscrupulous men who impregnate the girls advised themselves to avoid being caught by the law.
Obrifo Ahunu Ahor Ankobea, the Omanhene of Agomoa Akyempim Area, urged Ghanaians to cooperate with the police to maintain law and order, and to protect lives and properties.
