Football talents abound in Ghana and the African continent in general, however; it takes scouts, mini-tournaments, and in some areas, community-organized football competitions to uncover these endowments.

Such competitions, particularly in areas outside the big towns offer enormous opportunities for emerging football geniuses.

One of these convergences was recently organized by no other person but the venerable Frank Annoh- Dompreh (FAD), Member of  Parliament for Nsawam –Adoayiri Constituency who doubles as the Majority Chief  Whip of  Ghana’s Parliament.

The football competition Christened ‘FAD Christmas Gala’ was held as part of activities to commission a newly constructed Astroturf at Ahwerease- Darmang, a fast-growing community within the Nsawam – Adoagyiri Municipality of the Eastern Region.

The two-days football event brought to light a lot of hidden talents in the locality. Nonetheless, one name that stood out and remained consistent on the lips of many football enthusiasts who patronized the competition was Buarayiri Samuel Prince, A.K.A Messi.

Buarayiri Samuel Prince is an Under -17 years football prodigy whose playing style is being compared to the legendary Lionel Messi of Argentina by many who have watched him play in recent times.

Even at his tender age, Buarayiri is tipped to take the football world by storm in the near future if handled well.

As a left-footed player, Buarayiri’s footballing attributes include effective ball control, strength on the ball, excellent passing abilities, ability to dribble in tight areas, speed, power, and capability of scoring goals from long range. He is very versatile and has game-changing characteristics.

Following his development in recent times, Buarayiri is naturally an offensive midfielder and has additional capabilities of playing in many positions on the field depending on how any coach wants to use him.

Information gathered by Public Agenda from sources closer to  Hon. Frank Annoh- Dompreh is that the MP  has recognized the immense talent in Buarayiri and indicated his readiness to support him to the highest level in his football carrier.

Already, there is a mounting call on the Coach of the National Under -17 team,  Abdul Karim Zito to include Buarayiri in his team as his addition would help uplift the current dwindling fortunes of the  Junior National teams.
